Object |
To achieve the highest score |
||
Aim |
To declare correctly at the commencement of each round, the number of tricks you intend to make. |
||
Play |
Cut for deal. Cards to be dealt face down as described above. After the last card has been dealt, the top card of the remaining pack is turned over to determine the trump suit. Before play commences, each player will bid in turn to say how many tricks he or she will make (if any) on that particular hand. Bidding commences with the player to the immediate left of the dealer and thereafter in turn in a clockwise direction. One player is nominated as scorer and records each player's bid. Once the bidding is completed play commences with the player to the left of the dealer revealing his or her card and the remaining players follow in turn. As in whist, the highest card of the suit led or if unable to follow suit, the highest trump card wins the trick. |
||
Scoring |
10 points for every player who made the correct bid plus 6 bonus points for every trick called and made. |
||
NB |
A player making more or less tricks than his bid gets 0 points. |
