Object

To win money off the cards. The game is played on the "Roulette " principle.

Preliminaries

Players take it in turns to be the Banker.

Remove from the pack the high cards (Aces down to the 9 plus the 2 of spades). The four Aces are placed face-up and side by side on the table. The remainder of the high cards (plus the 2 of spades) are shuffled and placed face-down in rows of four and in alignment with the aces. This leaves one card remaining which is held face down by the banker.

Bets may be placed by the players on a card or cards being revealed and odds given as follows -

  1. On a single cards - evens
  2. Spanning two cards - 2 to 1
  3. Row across (i.e. 4 kings, 4 queens etc) - 4 to 1
  4. Line down (i.e. row of 5 of the same suit - 5 to 1 (Exposed Ace determines the suit).

Play

Once the bets have been placed, the Banker turns over the extra card and places it in the appropriate row and line, at the same time revealing the card it has replaced. The new disclosed card is also placed in its appropriate row and line and the procedure is repeated. This continues until the 2 of spades is revealed and placed to cover the last card shown and the game is then finished.

Money is taken by the Banker that has been placed on any -

  1. Card that has not been disclosed, including the card covered by the 2 of spades.
  2. Row or Line that has not been completely revealed.
  3. Two card bet when only one of the cards has been revealed.

All other bets are paid out in accordance with the odds above and the cards are passed on for the next game.
